The staff was very warm and attentive, both to us and our animals. Dr. Singh is amazing, and I can’t remember the name of the veterinary assistant but she was also absolutely fantastic. Great communication with us, and our pets are always treated as if they’re the staff’s own animals. Highly recommend, these people are wonderful.
South Athens Animal Clinic is truly the best around! Every staff member goes above and beyond to treat each pet like they are the most important. They are so kind and compassionate, it is truly remarkable. The are thorough and truly listen to my concerns, I trust them full-heartedly!
They even celebrated my dog's birthday with such enthusiasm and love. My dog loves going to the vet because of the staff there! I am truly lucky to have found them.
6/30/26 Having been with Dr Singh and staff for 9(ish) years (and 3 more pets), I want to say more about our experience with this first class practice. I love that the staff we met when we first showed up are the same folks we see when we visit now- all, to a person, warm to encounter, engaging, well informed in their positions and easy to trust with the care and handling of our beloved 4 legged children. Our newer crop of dog/cats all came from local shelters; all (save one) revealed chronic issues that've been well and conservatively managed by Dr Singh, always mindful of acuity and/or long range scenarios, best practices and expense. I've been so appreciative of her collaborative style: she's always clear about what she knows, where & when a consult would be a good option, and explaining in as much or little detail (as you like) all treatment/wellness options worth considering. Any and all referrals have been to likewise highly competent professionals (if a visit vs a phone consult is preferable). They are terrific for working out a last minute need, and are always accommodating of, eg, making it work for multiples if it'll make your life easier. Prescriptions are easy to get, whether in office or the online pharmacy of your choice. They have a decent selection of specialty foods and common supplements, and prices are always in line with prevailing rates. Most of all, I love knowing that no matter what happens, they will take care of my kids with love and intelligence and a palpable devotion for doing the right thing. AND, it means a lot to me that this is (and is intended to remain) a privately owned practice- no worries over what a private equity group would be conjuring up as "needed" for revenue purposes. SAAC will be who we turn to for as long as we need veterinary care. They're the best.
(2017) We were referred to South Athens Animal Clinic for specialty services. Anxious about the symptoms our cat was presenting, as well as about finding practitioners who would tend to Zooey with the care and compassion everyone hopes for, we were given an appointment to see Dr. Mosher less than 24 hours after calling. We saw Dr. Mosher, who almost immediately asked if we’d be comfortable with a consult with Dr. Singh, the “cat expert,” who saw us within minutes. Any reservations we’d had around care and competence were immediately dispelled by their thorough and generous ministrations to our girl. After Dr. Singh explained her proposed treatment plan, Zooey was prepped for immediate intervention, and we were kept informed about the process and findings. Dr. Singh kept us close throughout the workup, reviewed her findings in detail, and explained her intent to further consult with a radiologist of some stature, “just to be sure” about her impressions. We were surprised to find the cost for this level of attention was surprisingly nominal. At no point did we feel less than 100% companioned in our desire for the best possible care, and found ourselves sharing mutual relief that we’d found a place of extraordinary compassion and professional competence. Subsequent visits have been equally fine, always dialogical, always welcoming, and informative. We’re confident we’ve arrived at the best possible circumstance for our cat’s care.
