We were referred to Dr. Stampley in 2023 when our husky tore her right CCL. We elected for surgery and noticed an immediate difference in our gal Scarlett. Fast forward to 2025 and she also had a tear in her left CCL. We did not hesitate to bring her back in to see Dr. Stampley! After consulting with Dr. Stampley we decided a second knee surgery was the best route. During both procedures and leading up to the procedures the staff and Dr. Stampley were wonderful in explaining everything. The care Scarlett receives when she is there is fantastic. She is now able to be pain and enjoy being a dog rather than sitting on the sidelines. If you are hesitant to get the surgery, I was, I would say to do it and do not look back. The recovery is tough but it is well worth it.

We were referred to Dr. Stampley from our Veterinarian when our 7 year old Golden suffered a CCL tear. We tried some rehab efforts but it was clear that he was not going to recover as we hoped. We researched our options & it was clear that the TPLO surgery was our best option. Dr. Stampley & the staff were excellent at every step of the way. It's an expensive procedure but we knew that going in. They were very clear all along about the costs & risks & have been great through all of this. It's clear that they care about the pets entrusted to them & have been available to us at every point as needed. Otto is much better & we're looking forward to a great recovery for him when he gains back his strength & confidence. We are very happy with Dr. Stampley & the staff & recommend them highly.

I've known the owners of this practice for a very long time and they are incredible people. I can't believe someone would post they "want your money and nothing more" because that couldn't be farther from the truth. Dr. Downs and Dr. Stampley have been performing surgery in Athens for a long time. They are incredible people and incredible surgeons. They are honest and kind and love their clients and patients. I would HIGHLY recommend them!! I've used them for my own pets and referred many people to them and they too have had wonderful experiences. Trust me. They are wonderful.

I was referred to Dr. Stampley by my routine veterinarian for a CCL repair. Her office was punctual and precise in communication from the start. The office was very transparent about all the finances involved in a TPLO surgery, and all 4 visits (pre-op, day of, suture removal, post-op) were exactly in line with the cost estimates. Dr. Stampley took a conservative approach to recovery, and I shared with her that I took that as a sign of respect for her craft and my money. Dr. Stampley and her staff are outcome oriented for the animal patients while staying focused on delivering excellent service to their human clients. The communication was consistent, clear, and transparent. Dr. Stampley has performed hundreds of this procedure, so I felt comfortable placing care in her competent hands. It was a very professional and courteous experience overall, and while I would not like to repeat it for another pet or my wallet, I will certainly turn to Dr. Stampley and staff should that need arise again.
